I appreciate the small-business feel we receive...to call with a question and be able to speak to the owner is unheard of in the world of educational materials! The program itself is one that I cannot say enough about! I've been using it for many years and could not be happier with the results. A program that emphasizes high-frequency words, correct grammar usage, punctuation, and sentence structure while being student-friendly, makes it a one-of-a-kind find! I love this program!

This program truly allows for spelling integration into any writing curriculum. The words provide a good challenge, and the lessons allow for the freedom to be creative. The sentences students are asked to write get them applying writing mechanics and further reinforce good writing habits. The program also allows for the teacher to be creative, too. I've found some other ways to use the words and sentences in my instruction, including weekly vocabulary instruction and journal writing.

I homeschool our 12-year-old son who is in seventh grade. I like this program because it is very easy to use and extremely thorough. I like the variety of words and the fact that the student needs to think about how to use the word(s) in a sentence, not just simply spell it and move on. The page, Writing Reminders, at the end of the book is very helpful, and the additional writing activities are wonderful! They allow the student to be very creative and enjoy writing. This has helped our son be able to sit and think and focus. It has helped with sentence structure, and his mechanics have improved greatly in his writing. I recommend this program not just for spelling, but for grammar and creative writing as well.

"Because of our texting culture, preteens and teens are using SMS language: abbreviating words, using phonetic rather than correct spelling, forsaking punctuation, and relying on autofill and autocorrect. Students need to know when it is acceptable to take "short cuts" in language and when it is crucial to use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. There is no skill more powerful and useful that we can give them than the ability to communicate well."
