Put creative minds together, give them the end vision in mind, and what do you get? A new, fresh seating arrangement that works within the constraints of your room.
Setting up desks in my classroom was one of those ‘not so fun’ jobs. Knowing young minds have that creative edge, I put together an activity where students worked together to create the perfect work space.
This activity requires focus and trial/error as students comply with the ‘end vision in mind’ requirements and come up with a winning arrangement. The result? A new classroom floor plan agreed upon by the students (they vote)!
With this purchase you will get:
–instructions setting up your classroom ‘floor space’ map (with an example)
–the lesson plan
–rubric (use mine or adjust to fit your preferences)
–the student voting process
–an example of a winning design
